Tracts for Everyone!

I some how came across an old comic called Chick Tract which is a comic by this intolerant artist Jack Chick. He's a Christian fundamentalist and his comics usually condemns other religions, even catholics. Here's the "tract" that caught my eye.

That Crazy Guy
Girl gets scolded for acting like a human.
"A physician appears and notifies Suzi that she has contracted a STD. The particular STD depends on the version ‚Äì in the 1980 version, it is herpes, while in the 1992 version, it is gono…

Get OUT OF MY CAR!

Subject: Late

I'm on the bridge I'll be about 15 minutes late. In other news there's a crazy retired cop yelling at the passengers telling people about how he yelled at a lady to "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY CAR" and how she feared for her life. He's now talking about sky scrapers... 7 of them... This guy is crazy.

Also at the bottom of the main gallery page you have the "tag cloud" which shows the most popular tags bigg…

Phone Calls

So I'm at work, working, and blogging.. and trying to restore 48 gigs of data to my mothers laptop, and trying to return broken hard drives and I'm getting pretty hungry actually.

But that's not why I started this post, where was I? Oh yea phone calls.

Nick just called me, he had a question but as he was walking down the hall, Alex (the cat) passed him with a letter in his mouth. It was mikes and 10:1 odds it was going to end up in my room. I'm n…

23 year old Throwies Part 1

So this past weekend I celebrated my 23rd birthday. I had a lot of fun.
birthday bag all lit up
Normally I plan a party like this.

1) Pick a day (and forget to tell people right away)
2) Find a venue (my house, your house, whatever)
3) Add people
4) Add music
5) Add beer
6) (optional) Add hard liquor

And no matter what, as long as there are people + beer + music people seem to have a good time. Honestly I never though Id ever throw parties, but it's worked out quite ni…

Dear Roborooter.

I am at sarah's. She is cool, and my girlfriend. She loves me. And wine. but maybe not as much as I love wine.

Tee-hehe

(that's sarah's laugh)

We just spend some time reading her old diaries from 1992, she says lots about herself from back then. Bad speller, angsty, named her diary chi-chi. It's interesting. I used to write stories about kids who had aliens kill them and then the ambulance would come and the doctors would bring them back to life.…

I don't want to do it anymore.

Take 12 people, and ask them a personal question. Let them answer from the heart. Let them really get into it. Now spend the next 10-14 hours in a room (eat all your meals together, and don't talk when someone leaves the room) and argue that they are wrong.

If you can't convince them, start again tomorrow at 9:30, and to sweeten the deal have some people that are probably dangerous hang out in front of the building you're in and take the train wi…

Jury Duty

So I've got Jury duty. I went in expecting a big waste of time and came out with an expected 3 weeks of trial.
Three weeks,

Seriously, three weeks I'm going to be in court evaluating a murder case.

That's one week less then a month.

I'll have my current job, and I should be able to do work after jury duty. But.. This is like a temporary career change. I'm not even sure what to make of it.

The spam we get is of biblical proportions

Spam is a problem, and at my day job it seems to be an ever increasing one. We have two main methods of blocking spam, but lets start at the beginning.

Our server accepts an email to a valid address. (And tells the server to bugger off if there's no account here by that name.) Its scanned for virus's and email client exploits, as well as blocking encrypted archives, scanning inside archives and scanning for macros in Microsoft Office documents. T…

Holiday Presents

Comic reference

I just got another "I don't know what to get you this year" comment. And I realized I totally botched the amazon wishlist idea this year. I guess I can only say I don't mind getting presents late. =)

-Francis

PS And you better not mind either! =0
